NUZZLES & CO PET RESCUE AND ADOPTION

Complete rebranding and renaming, full branded collateral production, website, merchandise, video, ad campaigns, environmental design, and fundraising events

Every creative’s dream is to make a lasting impact through their craft. This was just such an opportunity: a nonprofit animal rescue was on the brink of closing down, so they entrusted our ad agency to recommend what our experts felt was needed: a complete rebrand so they could stand out in donors’ eyes—and sell the public on the idea of adoption rather than buying pets from breeders.

An intrepid group of writers, designers, strategists, project managers, developers, media buyers, videographers, photographers, and PR folks worked closely together (with a budget of ZERO dollars) … and we made the miracle happen. The rescue saw a major influx of revenue and started attracting more public support with its fun (and polished) new look. Soon, their annual budget had more than doubled and so had their impact saving animals’ lives. I personally remain closely involved in their day to day efforts and now serve as VP of the Board of Directors. (Yeah, I’m hooked on animals.) It gives me the opportunity to shepherd the brand as the organization grows and matures, finding clever ways to optimize revenue through heartfelt storytelling.

Fun fact: The name “Nuzzles” came to me as I reflected on the real, tangible moments that we share with our beloved pets. Everyone’s received a nuzzle from an animal they love—there’s nothing like it. That feeling is evoked every time anyone reads or says the nonprofit’s name, reminding them that all the effort of animal rescue is worth it in the end.
